Kuching, 17 July 2026 – The Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) successfully conducted an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report Evaluation Training from 14 to 17 July 2026 at Level 20, Menara Pelita and Lime Tree Hotel, Kuching.
The four-day training brought together 25 participants from NREB Headquarters and Divisional Offices to strengthen their technical knowledge and competency in evaluating Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports. The programme aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the EIA process and relevant environmental legislation, improve their knowledge of project screening and scoping requirements, and develop a systematic, consistent and effective approach to EIA report evaluation.
The training was facilitated by two experienced trainers from the Environmental Institute of Malaysia (EiMAS), Puan Kamilah binti Wan Zaid and Ts. Dr. Siti Norhidayah binti Abdullah, who delivered four comprehensive training modules covering key aspects of EIA report assessment.
Throughout the programme, participants actively engaged in discussions and practical learning sessions, reflecting their commitment to strengthening professional competencies. NREB extends its appreciation to the trainers and all participants for their active participation, which contributed significantly to the success of the training programme.
