Limbang, 19 July 2026 – The Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) successfully organised the PALS Conference for PALS Clubs at SMK Medamit from 17 to 19 July 2026, bringing together students and teachers from across the Limbang District to celebrate environmental education, innovation, and sustainability.

The three-day conference featured innovative environmental projects and exhibitions from 18 schools, involving a total of 76 students and 19 teacher advisors. The event provided a platform for PALS Club members to showcase their creativity, exchange ideas, and strengthen their commitment to environmental stewardship.

The closing ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Datu Jack Anak Liam, Controller of Environmental Quality Sarawak. In his address, he commended Limbang District for achieving 100% registration of PALS Clubs in all schools, describing it as a significant milestone that aligns with NREB's mission of attaining full PALS Club registration across Sarawak by 2027.

Datu Jack also expressed his appreciation to the Limbang District Education Office (PPD Limbang), school administrators, and dedicated teachers for their continuous efforts in nurturing and strengthening PALS Clubs. He acknowledged their commitment in cultivating environmental awareness and leadership among students.

During his speech, Datu Jack highlighted the outstanding achievements of the PALS Club Network at both national and international levels. He encouraged educators and students to draw inspiration from these successes and continue striving for excellence in environmental conservation initiatives.

The conference concluded on a high note, reinforcing the shared commitment of NREB, PPD Limbang, schools, and students towards building a more environmentally conscious and sustainable future through active participation in the PALS Club programme.
