Sibu, 26 Jun 2026 Friday - The Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) Sarawak held a meeting on the enhancement of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Post-Environmental Impact Assessment (Post-EIA) Monitoring at the NREB Sibu Office today.

The meeting was attended by NREB officers from various divisions and focused on reviewing and strengthening the existing Post-EIA monitoring procedures to improve the effectiveness and consistency of environmental compliance monitoring activities. Discussions also covered strategies to enhance coordination, streamline operational processes, and improve monitoring and enforcement mechanisms.

This initiative reflects NREB Sarawak's continuous commitment to strengthening environmental governance and ensuring the effective implementation of environmental regulations and sustainable development practices throughout Sarawak.
