KUCHING, 24 September 2026 – The Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) Sarawak held the Press Conference of the Environmental Education Conference (EEC) 2026) on 24 September 2026 at the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment (MINTRED), 12th Floor, Wisma Sumber Alam, Kuching.

The press conference was officiated by The Honourable Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Second Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development Sarawak.

EEC 2026, themed “Empowering Future Generations Through Environmental Literacy,” is scheduled to be held from 27 to 28 October 2026 at Imperial Hotel, Kuching.

The press conference officially introduced EEC 2026 to the media and the wider public, highlighting the conference’s objectives, key initiatives and programme details.

The conference aims to promote environmental literacy, strengthen environmental education and foster collaboration among stakeholders in empowering future generations to become more environmentally conscious and responsible.
