Kuching, 9 January 2026 - A Workshop for the Greenhouse Gas Management System (GHG-MS) Phase 2 was held on 9 January 2026 at the Riverside Majestic Hotel. The programme was attended by 30 participants comprising representatives from NREB, SAGC, MEESty, SAINS, ACCENTURE and PWC (online). The workshop aimed to provide a comprehensive walkthrough of relevant policies, plans and roadmaps, including the Study on Carbon Levy and Carbon Pricing of Sarawak, the Sarawak Net Zero Strategy and Carbon Plan, and the Carbon Credit Mechanism for Sarawak as presented by MEESty.

Participants also benefited from best practice sharing on Singapore’s EDMA system by Accenture, focusing on carbon levy, carbon credit management and compliance modules. In addition, a needs assessment was conducted to identify the key deliverables and scope of GHG-MS Phase 2. The workshop concluded with a walkthrough of the proposed system modules and implementation timeline, providing clear direction for the next phase of development.
