Kuching, 3–5 December 2025 – The International Workshop on Climate Change Resilience (IWCCR) 2025 was successfully held at Harbour View Hotel, bringing together 200 participants from 11 countries. The workshop was organized in collaboration with INTROP (UPM), KUUB, Forest Department Sarawak, NREB, BDA, and Gerhardt Malaysia under the theme “From Awareness to Action: Climate Solutions for a Sustainable Future.” The event was officially launched by YB Datuk Dr. Hj. Hazland Bin Hj. Abang Hipni, Deputy Minister of MEESty.

The first day featured five keynote presentations covering climate resilience, food security, policy transformation, and AI technology. An evening panel discussion focused on climate-resilient sustainable agriculture, AI, remote sensing, and GIS, moderated by Mr. Kenny Poon Kay Tee, NREB Deputy Controller (Management).

On the second day, four additional keynote addresses highlighted climate-smart practices, air quality management, and sustainable forestry from experts from Slovakia, the UK, Malaysia, and France. The third day included technical visits to the Borneo Cultures Museum and CENTEXS Kuching for practical insights into local environmental and cultural practices.
