Miri 16 July 2025 Wednesday - The Stakeholder Engagement Program Series 1/2025, organized by the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) Sarawak, was successfully held on 16th July 2025 at Pullman Miri Waterfront, Miri. This initiative aimed to enhance awareness and compliance with environmental legislation among key stakeholders. With the theme "Empowering Development Through Environmental Awareness and Compliance," the program focused on updating stakeholders on recent enforcement initiatives, promoting regulatory understanding, and fostering collaborative partnerships. A total of 209 participants attended the event, comprised of government agencies, environmental consultants, industry representatives, project proponents and NREB’s staffs. The engagement achieved its intended objectives by strengthening dialogue, building mutual trust, and encouraging environmental stewardship. The program concluded with a closing ceremony officiated by YB Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh, Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources & Urban Development Sarawak, marking a strong commitment by the state government to sustainable development through collaborative environmental governance.
